Mulled Wine

Red Wine, Cinnamon, Nutmeg, Clove, Pepper, Star Anise, Lemon Zest, Orange Zest, Orange and Sugar

a Blue Bar Winter tradition, our Mulled Wine is prepared slowly with love. Please note we will spend approximately 20 minutes preparing your mulled Wine.





Ingredients

1 Golden Sparrow Red Wine

1 grated Nutmeg
2 Cinnamon
4 cloves
2 wings star anise
30mls Orange Juice
half lemon Rind
half orange Orange Rind
6 Black Pepper
2 bar spoon spice sugar

Glass

 Mixology Wine Glass

Mixology

cook at medium temperature 1/4 of Red Wine, and all other ingredients bring to a boil lower temperature; add the remaining Wine and simmer

Garnish

 Dried Orange, Cinnamon Scroll and star anise

Mums Toddy

VS Cognac, Angostura Bitters, Lime, Ginger, Honey, Cinnamon, Clover, Pepper and hot water.

Inspired by the drink my Mum gave me when I was sick as a boy, only I use a lot more Cognac. Got a sour throat? This is Doctor Joel's cure; please note Joel isn't a doctor.

Ingredients

60mls Martell VS Cognac
2 dash Angostura Bitters
15mls Lime Juice
4 Cloves
2 Cinnamon  Sticks 
chunk Ginger
20mls Honey
90mls Boiling water
over top Grond Pepper
Glass

 Brandy Balloon

Mixology

 Muddle ginger, add honey and Cognac, top with boiling water and Stir; strain through a tea strainer. Ground Pepper on top of the drink.

Garnish

Dehydrated Lemon with Clove and Cinnamon Scroll
